TARGET: Laminators

Dear LM_NET Colleagues,

We need your opinion and comments. Our library is facing the purchase of a
new laminating machine. Ours has been breaking down too often, and appears
to be about to go kaput! I will compile the answers into a HIT and share
it with the group. Please send your response to the following questions to
me here at: pmilbury@ericir.syr.edu

We are considering the new heatless laminators. If you have one, how do
you like it? Is the lamination of a high enough quality? Is the quality as
good as the traditional lamination which uses heat?

We are also considering simply replacing with the heat-type roll
laminator, and are comparing two manufacturers: Multi-Seal and GBC
DocuSeal. If you have had a chance to try both, and see a difference
between them, please comment.
