Hi Margaret (and everyone!) one year my principal gave everyone a couple of pink index cards. We were supposed to write down the funniest things that had happened so far that year. Because the year was only half over, we still had to keep the pink cards for funny things that would happen. It was great! We had such a laugh talking about the cards and such a laugh at the end of the year when the principal collected all the cards, picked what he felt was the top three funniest, and then we voted on a winner (who won a gift certificate to a nice dinner). The cards had stories with students and teachers. We weren't allowed to use names of students, but teachers were fair game! I highly recommend it as an inexpensive way to help boost morale during the blah time after winter holiday. (And leads to the great expression, "I think that's a pink card!") Our faculty consists of about 55 people and we need some easy ideas for everyone to enjoy. We have the Christmas season covered. But what do you doafter the holidays? As we all know, there's not much extra time in the schoolday for ourselves and we need some "perk me ups" in our school.
