Hi- I am the young adult librarian at a public library and am going to be partnering with the local junior highschool for a lunch hour or after school bookclub. I wondered if anyone could share their experiences with a school bookclub (probably 30 min. a time)-the teacher has suggested meeting once a week-which seems a lot! Are there certain activities you might recommend that seem to work to get kids interested or any advice you can share. We might do the Rebecca Caudill book award program where the students have to read a set number of books on the list and then they're eligible to vote for the book they feel should receive the Rebecca Caudill award. Thanks for your help!
