Greetings from a non-automated library! The technology director just informed me he is writing a grant which will include automating the library! YIPPEEE!!!!!! However, he needs a synopsis from me of tasks that must be completed in order to accomplish this--I believe starting from inventory/weeding to finished product (all automated up and running, so to speak) He needs this summary in one week and I wish to have it as complete as possible. I am asking this great fountain of knowledge, known as LM_NET, for any suggestions; if you have written such a summary, which includes manhours, could you share that with me? I do intend to check the archives. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The two programs he mentioned are Sagebrush/Follett and Athena. Any comments pro or con on these? TIA for any help you can provide this 'stand alone' librarian. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
