Hello! I am a student attending the School of Library and Information Sciences at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I have a Bachelor of Education and plan to combine these degrees in some way. However, I am getting the impression that very few schools in Canada that employ teacher-librarians (due to budget cuts). I knew that smaller schools had this problem, but figured larger schools were still able to hire MLIS grads. What is the situation out there? Is it the same in the US? I don't think this is a big problem in international schools.
