To many of my PK-6 students, "brought back" only means
they put it in their backpack and carried it FROM home
TO school! They don't really seem to understand that it
is not OFFICIALLY returned until it is in the library,
scanned into the computer! Every week, I have students
claim they "returned" books, when the truth is, it is
still in their backpack, their locker, their desk, the
teacher's desk, the book collection basket/box in the
classroom, etc. etc.
