Target: "Core Essentials" elementary bibliography

Our school improvement committee announced that we are adopting the "Core
Essentials" program for teaching character. They have asked me to display
library books that will support each of the monthly values. Many of the
teachers are concerned that the vocabulary used will be too lofty for
elementary children. I've checked the LM_NET archives but the "values"
booklists previously posted are organized according to different terms. If
you have any book titles you'd suggest, or if you have worked with "Core
Essentials" I'd be interested in hearing from you. I will post a hit with
the titles I receive. The values we will highlight this year are:
Sept-Knowledge, Oct-Determination, Nov-Gratitude, Dec-Generosity,
Jan-Resourcefulness, Feb-Fairness, March-Hope, April-Conviction,
May-Obedience.
