Gosh, why did my last post come out with thos rotten little "=3D=3D20" symbo=
ls?
I had hilited the nesletter text I wanted to send to LM_NET and pasted it=20
into a new message to my own aol screen name.  There were no "=3D=3D20" symb=
ols=20
in that message. When I went to my own screen name and copy & pasted it to a=
=20
new message to LM_NET, it appeared with those confusing messy symbols. And I=
=20
did not notice until I saw it posted.  I hate those things!!!

Anyway, sorry about the second posting, but I want to send this on again,=20
HOPEFULLY without all those added symbols.  I have problems reading messages=
=20
with those symbols in them, and I want the contact info at the bottom to com=
e=20
through clean.

 NIH Releases New Curriculum Supplements=20

  The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is releasing three new curriculum=20
supplements to bring the latest findings on the brain, environmental health,=

and oral health to students across the nation. Free to teachers, the=20
state-of-the-art instructional materials are part of an ongoing project that=
=20
promotes inquiry-based, interdisciplinary learning in kindergarten through=20
Grade 12.=20
The new curricula are aligned with the National Science Education Standards=20
released by the National Academy of Sciences. Each supplement comes with an=20
interactive CD-ROM. They are as follows:=20
=E2=80=A2 =E2=80=9CThe Brain: Understanding Neurobiology Through the Study o=
f Addiction=E2=80=9D=20
allows students in Grades 9 through 12 to explore how drugs alter brain=20
function by changing the way neurons communicate.=20
=E2=80=A2 =E2=80=9CChemicals, the Environment, and You: Explorations in Scie=
nce and Human=20
Health=E2=80=9D enables students in Grades 7 and 8 to explore the relationsh=
ip=20
between chemicals in the environment and human health, utilizing basic=20
concepts of toxicology.=20
=E2=80=A2 =E2=80=9COpen Wide and Trek Inside=E2=80=9D encourages students in=
 Grades 1 and 2 to=20
explore the wonders of the mouth as a living environment and learn scientifi=
