I read about the library based comic strip on LM_Net and subscribed to it.
(I figured I needed a laugh at least once a day no matter how bad my day was
going <g>.) http://overduemedia.com Due to copyright restrictions they had
to change their name from Overdue to ??? So they had a contest.
Here is the result of that contest:
And the winner is... Unshelved! We love this word. It recalls "unhinged" and
"dissheveled," and it seems like almost every character in our strip is like
a book in search of the right shelf. And, yes, the domain name was
available. No one suggested Unshelved by itself, but for suggesting Dewey
Unshelved the grand prize goes to Lynette "Lynn" Mitchell, Media Specialist
at Citrus County Schools in Crystal River, FL. Lynn gets a custom portrait
of herself standing with the staff of the Mallville Public Library.
