Dear B.C. Teacher-Librarians: My husband has just received word that he has been accepted into the Ph.D. Counselling Pyschology program at UBC so we will be heading to Vancouver sometime this summer. I expect that we'll be staying for a year. After I earned my MLS from McGill in 1985 I returned home to Nova Scotia to work. I have worked in 2 high school libraries and am currently employed in a P-8 school library. I'd like to know what my chances are of getting a job in a school library next year. Do most school libraries have T-Ls or do they have library-technicians? Are there forms I would need to fill out to be eligible to work in B.C.? Would I be able to be a substitute? Is there much call for subs? Any information would be much appreciated.
