Ohio Only: State Funding

All Ohio librarians probably know that Ohio Rep. Larry Householder has
proposed eliminating--not cutting LLGSF public library funding from the
budget.  This will mean the closing of over 2/3's of Ohio libraries.  My own
library receives 53% of it's funding from the state.

The LLGSF is written in permanent law and should stay that way, floating up
and down with the economy, not with budget proposals every two years.

This will result in massive lay-offs, elimination of acquisitions budgets,
programs, and services.  The house will vote on it this Wednesday.  Please
contact you representative and let them know that you are a voter and you
will not allow this to fly.
