At Centennial, we do something similar in every classroom. We put up a "word wall" and add to the wall during the year with words related to the subject. For example, in the media center my words are all book & research related. In the chorus & band rooms the words are musical, in the tech lab they're all computer/technology related. It's one of the things we do schoolwide to support reading instruction consistent with the CORE reading instruction (http://www.corelearn.com/about.htm). I add words during book talks and orientation (author, book, call number, Dewey, spine, cover, etc.) as we talk about parts of the book and story. Anyway, I was having trouble coming up with words for some letters, so these will help!
