Our district eliminated microwaves and mini-fridges in classrooms, including the library.Coffee pots, ditto. Box fans and oscelating fans were also banned, but small personal-size fans have been OK. At least I've gotten away with mine. Candle burning is also taboo. Last year was the first year for the ban. No reason was given, but I can understand the candle ban. Lots were left burning on teacher's desks.
