Mary Alice -- This is a great chart -- thank you for sharing it. It does bring to mind two questions/comments relating to this: 1) The chart, I don't believe makes it clear that while students may use clips of copyrighted material in their classroom presentations/papers these presentations or papers may NOT be put on websites or republished in a printed format for each student or for distribution outside of the classroom. 2) In one place this chart indicates that a legally held copy of a multimedia item (such as a Beta video) may be converted to a format that is not obsolete. Later at the bottom it specifically mentions that filmstrips/films --portions -- may be duplicated under specific circumstances. It would seem to me that filmstrips are now an obsolete format. What is the collective thinking on that. Are filmstrips obsolete? More to the point -- I have some wonderful filmstrip/cassette combos that I have no filmstrip projector for -- can I convert to powerpoint presentation?
