One of the more respected sources of school library research is the Library
Research Service, based at the Colorado State Library in Denver. Keith
Lance, the director, conducted and authored the two studies you mentioned
(as well as the original "Colorado Study" around 1993). CO, AK, and several
other studies are located one the LRS website: www.lrs.org. The 'school
studies' link is in the lower left column.

The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) has posted these and
other studies on their website. Their ALA URL is too long, but here's a
short link to the research bibliography: http://tinyurl.com/jsd2.

AASL also offers the School Library Media Research (SLMR), a refereed
publication of findings on various topics. Again, the URL is too long; use:
http://tinyurl.com/jsdg.

Subject: Colorado Report and Alaska Report

Good Morning,
I am in my first position as a School Library Media Specialist, and have
been asked to find information for incorporating the library with the
standards of learning requirements. Someone mentioned the "Colorado Report"
and the "Alaska Report". Can anyone give me more specific information? I
have been reading through a lot of materials on the web, but was hoping
someone may be able to point me directly to a source or sources that will be
helpful. Many thanks, Laurie Malone School Library Media Specialist Sturgeon
