Fellow Wise Ones: I have a lovely volunteer in my library, a grandmother, who remembers a book that she read to her children "long ago" and would love to have a copy of for her grandchildren. All she remembers about it is this line: "A hole is for poking, A kitten for stroking, Your mother for hugging, You love her so much." I don't know how accurate that really is (seems like that last line should rhyme, doesn't it?), but I told her that, although it does not sound familiar to me, I know this fabulous group of people I can ask. :-) Please contact me off the list if you can give me a clue about what this book might be. Thanks in advance!
