I replied to Joyce directly on the subject, but a 'search engine
optimizer' is interesting. Seems that Google has put together some
information on these folks at
<http://www.google.com/webmasters/seo.html>.  Another definition is at
<http://www.leveltendesign.com/kb_terms/search_engine_optimizer.html>
(http://tinyurl.com/3988k).

Personally, I would call the tactic that Joyce describes as  'search
engine deoptimization'.
