Tech: imac laptops & airport

We have an imac mobile lab that is operating on Jaguar
(system 10.2).  We are having REcurring problems with
the airports dropping the laptops off of our network.
We have updated the airport software from the Apple
web page-- no luck.  We have even done a factory reset
on one of the airports -- no luck.  Any advice?

Others in our school district are going back to system
9.2 but we do not want to backtrack if we can help it.
