For those of us who like to see portrayals of librarians that break the
stereotype, there is a new character this season on the HBO show ''OZ"...the
prison librarian, played by Broadway vet Patti Lupone. She is gutsy and
bawdy, doesn't wear a bun and has never shushed a patron. However, "Oz" is
about the most violent, scatological, and sexual show I've ever seen on TV
so if you are faint of heart, don't watch.
