Hello - I am the author of the "My Turn" essay in the March 3 issue of Newsweek.
The essay is about the death of a young woman and how this caused me to reconsider
my role as a media specialist in addressing the affective needs of teens. As a
result, I have become very interested in the research about resiliency and the
factors that promote resiliency. Much of what we do as media specialists promotes
resiliency.
