I was sent a forwarded e-mail today which warned that using a cell phone while filling your car up with gas can cause explosions and that Shell had warned customers not to even place a cell phone on the trunk of the car while fueling as this had happened to someone recently. I actually did not read the entire message as I thought it sounded ludicrous. I did check an urban legend website and found nothing there, so now I am wondering whether or not what I read could have been true. Does anyone know?
