ELEM:parent complaint about Steig's "Shrek"

A parent of a first grader returned our copy of "Shrek" with a note
stating that she  would like the book to be discarded from our collection
because she finds it to be "uneducational and inappropriate".  Is it? Any
good responses? Thanks.
