GEN: Sense and Sensibility

Netters,

A member of our staff watched the film version
of Sense and Sensibility twice during our recent
holiday.  She would like to know why John
Willoughby left Marianne and went to London, not to
return until he was sneaking around on the day of
her wedding.  Do any of you know?
