Help! I am new to the media center - after teaching in the classroom for 6 years. I love my new job - but am finding that developing lessons is proving to be more difficult than when I was in the classroom. #1 - Would anyone be willing to share a "timeline" of activities, things that you do with or things that you cover with each grade level? #2 - I would love to incorporate what is going on in the classroom with library lessons. I often use the pacing guides or ask the teachers directly - but how do you use that information? For example, in fourth grade they are studying plants. So, I wrote questions about plants using the encyclopedia. The students were asked to find the answers to those questions using the encyclopedia. But, what else? I want to make the time in the library a meaningful experience for the students. Any ideas would be extremely valuable! Thank you!
