Hello: in a HIT posted today on the use of PDAs in education, one of the "hits" indicated the following: >In the library we use them to access the >catalog. A real help to be able to pull up information without going to >a comp[uter or being able to walk around the room and answer questions. I would love to hear more from whoever wrote this, and anyone else who uses a PDA in the library. I have used one for a couple of years now, but I find it much too slow to load my catalogue (even a subset of only 3000 fiction items takes minutes to load each query, even with a faster unit at 16 mg). I was wondering if perhaps you have found quick software to view your catalogue? I'm using TinySheet, as it will load 65,000 items in a spreadsheet, but as I say, much too slowly. Thanks! Lisa J.
