GEN: PDA in library to view catalogue?

We use a program called Mobile Database and I am able to keep student
passwords on it. Our principals use it to keep the student information fr=
om
our school system.  Mobile Database is easy to use, doesn't cost much and=

is pretty fast. It is available from www.handmark.com  You can get a 30 d=
ay
program preview but the cost is only $19.95  The tech support person who
helped me with it said he preferred the program as being much less memory=

intensive than handysheets.

The files we put into the program are those created in MS Excel from an
import from our school system. =


My library program exports files which can be opened in MX Excel without
problem. I could probably put my database, or a subset of it on my Palm. =

may try to do so tomorrow.

find it much too slow to load my catalogue (even a subset of only 3000
fiction items takes minutes to load each query, even with a faster unit a=

16 mg). I was wondering if perhaps you have found quick software to view
your catalogue? I'm using TinySheet, as it will load 65,000 items in a
spreadsheet, but as I say, much too slowly.>>
