HIT: ELEM: third grade titles

Hello,

Thank you to all the people who responded to my request for recommendations
for =B3chapter books=B2 for third grade students in the genres of historical
fiction and fantasy.  I did not intend for this to be a =B3hit=B2 but I had man=
y
requests for the results of my question to be posted.

For Historical fiction many people recommended the Magic Tree House books.

Also recommended for historical fiction were:

Rabbit Hill (Lawson)
Arthur Chapter Books (series)
Commander Toad (series by Yolen)
Bunnicula (Howe)

One person recommended borrowing books from the town library.  Another
suggested buying several paper backs of appropriate titles for use when the
book reports are assigned.
