Happy summer everyone, As a "newbie" as some of you would call me (I am starting my first year as librarian after 12 years in the classroom), I am extremely familiar with K-3 literature. I am, however, not familiar with books for the upper (4-6) grades. I have started reading certain books from my library this summer in the hopes of becoming more aquainted with the literature. If you have any suggestions of either authors or specific books that you really love for this grade level I would appreciate the input. I hope to at least have something to offer the kids looking for suggestions when school starts! So much for adult reading this summer....
