Technical Problem: Outlook Express, Opening Attachments

I'm sorry if this problem does not fall under the purview of this =
listserv, but I don't know where else to turn.

I have been unable to open any attachments to e-mails since installing =
Windows XP professional to a new hard=20
drive. I keep getting a message that "OE
removed acess to the following unsafe attachments to your mail." This =
blocking is universal, as it even blocks attachments I have added to my =
own e-mail. =20

I have tried reading all the "Help" references to e-mail and =
attachments, as well as trying adjusting the settings, to no avail.

Any suggestions?
