Sandra & Netters,

I read it and LOVED it during my "I want a horse" phase in late elementary
school. It's an oldie by Marguerite Henry (who also wrote "Misty," and
"Brighty of Grand Canyon," etc.). It's not listed in the Follett catalog,
so it may well be out of print. Amazon.com lists several identical or
similar titles (different authors) but they are NOT the children's book
that several posts to Amazon's reviews are referring to.

At one time there was (and probably still is) a life-sized sculpture of
Seabiscuit at the Santa Anita Mall next to the Santa Anita Racetrack in
Arcadia (near Pasadena), California.
