If you are looking for some accurate historical fiction set in medieval
times complete with romance, humor, and a touch of fantasy then I'd
recommend two outstanding books by Rodrigo Garcia y Robertson. "Knight
Errant" and "Lady Robyn" tell the story of Robyn Stafford, a Hollywood
executive who is transported to the Middle Ages through witchcraft(that's
the fantasy part), meets Edward, son of the Duke of York, at the beginning
of the War of the Roses(the romance part), and deals with the realities of
living in 1460(the humorous parts). The Middle Ages are portrayed with
remarkable accuracy - from beheadings to the fabulous clothing of the time.
