Yesterday I interviewed for a library position in a local elementary school.
For those of you who will be interviewing soon here are the questions that I
can remember from that interview. Of course, most of these questions I had
already seen from lists that other fellow Netters had sent me. The only ones
that were new were about designing a web page and the reading initiative which
is specific to Alabama.
Interview questions:
How will you get teachers to collaborate with you?
Describe the atmosphere you will create in the library.
Why do you want to work at this school?
How will you evaluate the library services? (I don't think this was how the
question was worded, but that is the gist of it.)
How comfortable are you with creating a web page? (The fact that I teach Web
Design workshops I am sure gave me bonus points on that question.)
How do you feel about being a resource person?
How would you correlate AR with the Alabama Reading Initiative?
Would you be able to attend the ARI training in June?
I will know Thursday if I got the job or not. Good luck to everyone else who
is in search of a job this summer.
