LM_NET Archive



It is unfortunately true that unless an administrator has worked in a school
with a good library program, and has taken the time to learn about the
needs, they are going to understand very little about what the Learning
Center or Library does.  Nowhere have I found in any curriculum for the
training of administrators that they are required to learn about ANY of the
special programs, such as library, music, gifted, etc.  Only education in
remedial education is required as part of their administrative course work.
Is there any state out there where education in this area is required as
part of an administrative degree?  I would be curious to know.
