I'm looking for a good fantasy title for my gifted language arts teacher to use with 6th graders. It must have lots of descriptive language and imagery. She wants something that is not "high fantasy." Something like Tuck Everlasting that the students can relate to in their own lives. I've gone through all of my fantasies and nothing seems to fit the bill!! The reading level should be sixth grade or above and not extremely long. If anyone could help, I would really appreciate your suggestions. If I get many responses I will post a HIT. TIA, Linda S.
