Am I interpreting the posts on this topic (and what a healthy debate it has
been) to mean that your principals are not necessarily teachers?  Are they
"outsiders" with other skills such as accounting who go through special
training to be able to apply those skills to the education situation?

Here, our principals have been teachers for a long time and have moved up
through the ranks. Hence they know pretty much what's involved, although
maybe not the nitty-gritty.

The way each of your districts seems to have its own system is making me
appreciate our centralised system.  But then there are not as many of us.
