LMNET conference

Hi, all -

Two cents here - I think a conference where we focus on our school issues
as a preconference or post conference to AASL would work - It is
international and something everyone knows about even if they cannot go.
Pick up some of our threads and create focus groups or sessions  -quite
often at a conference like AASL the requirement to present is very specific
and must fall within some theme.  LMNET could meet the need of no specific
theme but the school issues theme/threads.

How to manage your principal
How to deal with teachers who do not accept you as a teacher
How to be the copyright police without being so offensive as to keep folks
out of your library
creating fabulous programs to start the new year
creating lit circles or lunch bunch groups
understanding new technologies that we don't have but wish we did so we
could learn
specifics on selection criteria
Reality collection development
Moving from one grade level school to another higher or lower

I am doing this last now - leaving administration and moving back into a
school and I maybe a high school rather than the elementary that I have
always done before - won't know for sure for a couple of weeks.  By the
way, wish me luck - it is a little scary.
