I'm wondering if anyone out there recognizes this book--

A friend of mine remembers reading a book in elementary school in the late
60s or early 70s about a boy who could fly. He is in a meadow with other
kids teaching them to fly, and it turns out that he is really a
bird--perhaps a hawk.

Please reply to me directly. TIA.
