To everyone: I have just survived my first year as a media specialist (and loved it by the way), and now am a graduate student in the Masters of Education in Media program. This is my first time on LM_NET and was wondering if I could ask a few questions of everyone. The school at which I work is a small K-8 Catholic school. My duties include: not only the day-to-day operations, but teaching basic library classes once a week to K-5 as well as teaching 3 elective courses a quarter to 6-8. I was wondering if anyone has any good sources of info. for curriculum for my library classes. Also, being in a Catholic school, I have to worry about content of books. Does anyone have any ideas for some really good middle-school books which would be appropriate? While I do not advocate censorship, I have had some interesting conversations about what the parents feel are inappropriate materials. Thank you very much!!
