ALA conference

I am just back from 8 days in Toronto.  What a wonderful city and what nice
people!  Everyone seemed to go out of their way to be helpful.  I was a
treat to meet some LM-Netters there as well.  ALA Annuals can be a bit
overwhelming, this one was much less so, largely because of the less than
1/2 expected attendance.  Sad, of course; it is really hurting the local
economy.  Still, a great conference experience, especially the One Book/One
Conference aspect.  The book discussions were great.
