VOC ED: Need your help!

Hi!

I'm a middle school library/media specialist who signed up for an Educational 
Technology course and found myself in a class of Vocational Education students with 
a Voc Ed instructor.  How they managed to mix us, I don't know but the instructor 
is trying to make the best of it because she knows we need our hours. (There are 
three of us: an L/MS, a kindergarten teacher, and a third unknown subject.)

For my final hour of graduate credit I proposed a short paper on the 
differences/similarities in working in a traditional school library/media center 
and a vocational school library/media cente.  Would any of you be willing to help 
me?

How do your roles and responsibilities differ from a traditional school librarian?  
Do you teach information literacy skills? What are some examples of projects that 
students come to your library to do?

I am going to be stretching to try to tweak her vocation requirements to link to 
something in the library field.  I think she and I may both learn a little from 
this experience.

If you're willing to help, please respond directly to me. You may have some better 
questions for me to ask you... those will be greatly appreciated also.  I have no 
idea what a L/MS does in the vocational school setting.  I have ideas but no real 
basis for writing a paper.
