Hi, I have a student who is going to participate in a word tournament. She has been given a list of words to study. She needs to know both the definition and origins of words. She know the definition of the word cwm (a small lake in a glacier) but....she cannot find the origin. She knows that it is either Scottish, British, or English. Can anyone give us a definite answer and maybe a source on the internet we can refer to? Thanks in advance, Judy Seck jseck@lsd.k12.mi.us Teacher & Media Specialist Willow Elementary School Lansing, MI 48915 V 517 325 6886 V 517 325 7348 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
