I'd say, "oh, really? What makes you say that?" When said person
talks about all these libraries that are accessible on the internet,
ask if he's seen them. Does he know they are mostly the library
catalogs? Ask about what he's researched using the internet. Find
out if he has some experience or he's just heard that so much is
available, it has to be able to replace a library (chances are good
that anyone who says this doesn't use the internet OR libraries
much.) Take a wide-eyed curious approach. And then have the
article "10 Reasons Why the Internet Is No Substitute for a Library"
ready to hand to him.
