A middle school librarian in our district needs help with the following. I have a student (6th grader) who's father is very ill right now - may be a quadraplegic. His mother has asked about books for her child to read that might deal with this type of situation. Do any of you have something appropriate in your collections - fiction or non-fiction - that would help? I have books on death of a parent, and parents with cancer, etc., but nothing about dealing with a severly injured parent whose injuries will change the family's situation substantially... Thanks in advance!
