NY - Pataki's Budget Cuts

Hello to all!  I haven't seen any discussion on how
Pataki's budget cuts may be affecting you.

I just got a call today saying that recommendations in
the district is to cut 2 1/2 librarian positions.
Unfortunately I would be one of those 2 1/2 cut since
I'm the second to the last librarian hired.  Here I
thought I would be safe since I wasn't at the bottom
of the list and had tenure.   The librarians in my
district do plan to present a united front at the next
board meeting.

I would like any suggestions on what to say, how to
handle this, etc.  The district just spent loads of
money renovating all the media centers and automating
(I'm actually still in the process of barcoding with
the hopes of being automated by September).  Any input
is more than appreciated.
