Looking for 8th grade humanities text

Our principal has just OK'd a humanities class for G&T 8th graders next =
year.  We have been asked to investigate possible text books.  If =
humanities is taught at your schools, could you please let us know about =
the books you use, or forward this query to the teachers involved?  =
We'll also be looking to supplement with trade books.
