Sara, Well, here's a more expensive solution...but less expensive than an infringement on copyright might cost one day. I once worked at a school that purchased a Karaoke machine with a variable speed knob that could be adjusted for a tape being played. We used it with special education students in different teaching situations (music, physical education activities, plays, performances, etc.). Although I am not advocating that they STOP dancing to the Cotton-Eyed Joe, it would also give them the opportunity to use other music once they have grown tired of line dancing! *grin* Here's a link to one of the variable speed Karaokes for tapes: http://www.califone.com/pdf/2795AVspec.pdf Here's one with a CD player and variable speeds: http://www.natav.com/pages/page085.pdf You might check in catalogs for educational sound equipment or catalogs for special education products that include sound equipment. Often the prices may be a little less expensive than those I've given you. However, you can also check locally to see if there might be products in stores like Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. Hope this helps. ~Shonda Brisco Trinity Valley MS / US Librarian Fort Worth, TX sbrisco021@charter.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sara Johnson" <SJohnson@DCE.K12.WI.US> To: <LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU> Sent: Wednesday, March 05, 2003 11:14 AM Subject: TARGET: Copyright Issue > I need your expertise with this.
