I only know Monster.  It is an award wining book. Is it the "Monster"
by Walter Dean Myers?  If so it's fiction in form of autobiography &
its cataloging describes it as follows (from Queens Borough Public
Library):


While on trial as an accomplice to a murder, sixteen-year-old Steve
Harmon records his experiences in prison and in the courtroom in the
form of a film script as he tries to come to terms with the course his
life has taken.

I read it and enjoyed it very much.  It is one of the few books that a
teen has told me they like at my school.

In 2000 it won both the first Prinz award & was a Coretta Scott King
Honor book.
