Pat,
My school is not large enough to qualify for an additional librarian/media
specialist, but being a network administrator and knowing how much "Media
Center time" is "lost" to the network, I am curious as to why your friend
would want an Tech rather than a media specialist?  I can see that the
"computer person" being pulled in too many directions other than the media
center.
