Most ISPs allow you to have multiple accounts. Many spammers only find their way to the "main" account. I always have it be my spam-trap. This is by no means fool-proof as many just send to *******@popularISP.com. A few rules of thumb. 1) Never reply to spam, especially if they ask you to do so to remove your name. That just tells them it's a valid email account. 2) Never use your email address in a USENET newsgroup or website's discussion forum. Many forums do require an email, usually as a login. Use a spam-trap (main account, hotmail, yahoo, etc.). 3) If you must have your email listed on a webpage (your own, an interest group, whatever) spell things out (at least "at" for @). Tim Timothy G.
