On a Windows XP machine with Office XP Pro I am adding a music file (in
.wma format) to start with the first slide and run throughout the
presentation. Everything works fine until I try to have the music file
start 20 seconds in (the first 20 secs are basically dead time). The
music plays but the first slide will not advance automatically. I can
advance it manually by hitting page down twice and the music continues
to play and all of the other slides advance automatically. No other
settings have been changed and under slide transition it is set to
advance after 4 seconds. Even if I undo the 20 second advance the first
slide still sticks. I have to delete the inserted sound file and
reinsert it to get the auto-advance to work again. Of course the help
files are not much help.
Any suggestions (I know I can edit the sound file and cut those 20
seconds, but this should work without doing that-- it's really bugging
me)?
